- DESCRIPTION. a.A call for fire (CFF) is a concise message prepared by the observer. It contains all information needed by the FDC to determine the method of target attack.
- OBSERVER IDENTIFICATION. This element of the call for fire tells the FDC who is calling for fire.
- WARNING ORDER. The warning order clears the net for the fire mission and tells the FDC the type of mission and the type of target location that will be used.
- TARGET LOCATION. This element enables the FDC to plot the location of the target to determine firing data. a.In a gridmission, six-place grids normally are sent.
