Nightkill is a 1980 psychological thriller film directed by Ted Post, and starring Jaclyn Smith, Mike Connors, James Franciscus, Robert Mitchum, Fritz Weaver, and Sybil Danning. It follows the wife of a corrupt Phoenix, Arizona industrialist, who finds herself attempting to cover up his murder after her lover poisons him to death.
Nightkill stars Robert Mitchum as a world-weary private eye probing the case of a missing industrialist (Mike Connors). He is hired by Jaclyn Smith, the anxious wife of the missing man. What Jaclyn fails to inform Mitchum is that she knows full well her husband's whereabouts.
Nightkill is a thriller starring the late great industry veteran Robert Mitchum, but it certainly isn't among his best work. It tells the story of a woman who witnesses her new lover murder her abusive husband and the chain of events that follow.
