Native-American hunter Fish Hawk (Will Sampson), a man with a tragic past, has turned to alcohol to soothe his contempt for the world around him. But, when his cherished hunting dog is killed by a grizzly bear, Fish Hawk resolves to sober up and rid his community of dangerous wild animals.
