This docudrama explores the unusual friendship between African-American boxer Joe Louis (Leonard Roberts) and German pugilist Max Schmeling (Til Schweiger). They first clash in the ring in 1936, a bout that ends in a Schmeling knock-out victory. Two years later, Louis returns the favor.
