Apr 3, 2006 · Harry “Boom Boom” McGilberry Jr. Singer. He was a member of Motown's legendary and biggest act The Temptations. He performed as their bass singer from 1995-2003, he replaced the ailing bassist and former P-Funk member Ray Davis. He was also known as Boom Boom by family and friends.

While the Futures broke up in the early 80s, two of their members went on to more notable positions. McGilberry became the bass singer for the Temptations in 1996, leaving a half-decade later due to health problems.
Harry, you'll always be known as one cool brother to me. Melvin was my main man, but you respectfully earned your place on my shelf of "World Class Bass Singers." Your smiles and playful laughter on and off stage will always be forever embedded in my soul.
