Anthony Brancato (July 18, 1914 – August 6, 1951) was an American criminal [1] who served as a freelance gunman to various Mafia and syndicate organizations. Early career. Born in Kansas City in 1914, [2] Brancato became involved in armed robbery and drug dealing. He later moved to Southern California in 1946.
Anthony Trombino, also from Kansas City, became Brancato's partner in crime and they became known as "the two Tonys." After robbing the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, the men became wanted by the mob and the FBI.

Oct 14, 2009 · In June 1951, the two Tonys, along with three other masked gunmen, robbed the Flamingo Hotel’s lay-off cash room of $3,500. Hy Goldbaum, who ran the commission book in Las Vegas, was present and immediately recognized Brancato and Trombino. When Goldbaum ran a bookmaking operation in Beverly Hills, he had been robbed several times by the pair.
