  1. Deep Cove is a lovely village about 30 minutes by car or 1 hour by bus from downtown Vancouver. There's a nice park and swimming in the cove in the summer, kayak rentals, etc. My favourite thing to do in Deep Cove is the Quarry Rock hike, part of the Baden Powell Trail.
