The “Happy Show” first went to air from Channel Nine on the 21st January, 1957. The station had been opened just two nights before, on the 19th January, by the popular Governor of Victoria, Sir Dallas Brooks. For the first few weeks we were producing the children’s show from a basement window of the Myer Emporium in Lonsdale Street.
