After several months with no new leads, the OSP team jump into action when they learn of a new video which shows a group of terrorists threatening the life of a hostage who's revealed to be none other than missing OSP agent Dominic Vail with the team desperately racing against time to find and save Dom before it's too late.
It's revealed that Hetty's nickname is the "Duchess of Deception".The team are finally able to locate Dom and learn he has been in Los Angeles all along.Dom dies after sacrificing himself to save Sam from getting hit by gunfire with his death leaving the entire OSP team devastated.Sam is shown to have a wife.The song playing over the last few seconds of the episode is Peter Gabriel- I Grieve.The storyline in this episode is similar to the original NCIS Season 2 finale episode, "Twilight".
