    The 17th episode of Season 5 and the 103rd episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by the character actor Strother Martin with musical guest The Specials, an English 2 tone and ska revival band. It premiered on April 19, 1980. This was Strother Martin's only time hosting and the only musical guest appearance on SNL for The Specials.

    This is also Strother Martin's final television appearance before his death on August 1, 1980.
