Wheaton is a city in and the county seat of DuPage County, Illinois, United States. It is located in Milton and Winfield Townships , approximately 25 miles (40 km) west of Chicago . As of the 2020 census, Wheaton's population was 53,970, making it the 27th-most populous municipality in the state.
Wheaton Police Identify and Arrest Suspect in Connection with 2022 Kidnapping. Wheaton Police Chief Princeton Youker and DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced the identification of an alleged suspect who has been charged in connection with an aggravated kidnapping that occurred April 18, 2022.
- Cantigny Park. West of downtown Wheaton, this refined park is the former estate of Chicago Tribune publisher Joseph Medill (1823-1899) and his prominent grandson Robert R. McCormick (1880-1955).
