  2. Bob Lewis started with the autoharp in 1975, coming off the guitar that “never seemed in tune to me, and my hands were really too small or weak, typical guitar refugee.” His first autoharp was a 1975 Appalachian Oscar Schmidt Model B, the first year and model with the 21 chord mechanism.

  8. Originally an Oscar Schmidt OS-100 autoharp built in 1979 in the US (solid spruce top, maple back & sides), this was refurbished by autoharp expert Bob Lewis in 2017. He replaced the chord bars with handmade wooden bars and setting in a blues chord arrangement, and also added fine tuning mechanisms.
