Robosaurus starred in Steel Justice, a made-for-TV movie on NBC in 1992. It centered on a cop with the magical ability to turn his deceased son's Robosaurus toy into a real fire-breathing robot to help him fight crime. No TV series resulted.
Steel Justice was a vehicle for Robosaurus, and to justify its existence, Crow and Hill wrote a story that included anything they thought people could grab on to.
*sigh*... okay, Steel Justice. In a post apocalyptic future where the ozone layer is gone, a gritty detective and his husky voiced partner mourn the bazooka death of his son. Then a time traveling Magical Negro teaches him to transform his son’s toy into Robosaurus.
