It is the ability to capture time with the beauty of color and texture that makes for a great picture and my work is meant to capture your eye, lead it to see color and light in ways that are unfamiliar.
Ben Knight, a Chicago native, has transitioned well to country, small town living. As a co-owner of Chef & the Farmer and the Vivian Howard Restaurant Group, he has established himself as a leader in small town investment and job creation.
Ben Knight continues to paint. His bold, gestural, layered and glossy paintings are a joy for the eye. In 2020, Ben Knight was one of twenty-five artists selected for inclusion in Front Burner: Highlights in Contemporary North Carolina Painting at the North Carolina Museum of Art.

Ben Knight is known for Modernist style gestural, heavily layered paintings, non objective. Ben Knight is a highly regarded contemporary artist working in North Carolina. A native of Chicago, he studied at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1998 until 2000.
