Eliot Ness was a real law enforcement officer who joined the U.S. Treasury Department in 1927, working with the Bureau of Prohibition, in Chicago. He was involved in targeting gangster Al Capone. His refusal to accept a bribe led to Ness's team becoming known as "The Untouchables."

Dean is sent back to 1944 and is arrested by the police, but Eliot Ness releases him and teams-up with Dean to chase Mr. Snider, who is actually Chronus, the Time God.

Time After Time is the 12th episode of Season 7. It aired on January 13th, 2012. Sam and Dean tangle with the God of Time (guest star Jason Dohring), who sends Dean back to 1944, where he is immediately arrested by none other than the one and only Eliot Ness (guest star Nicholas Lea).
