    Epistle Three is the name of a plot outline posted by Marc Laidlaw on his personal site. It represents a snapshot of what Episode Three could have been before his departure from Valve.     The original post on his website appears to have been deleted by Laidlaw some time around June 2022, as indicated by Wayback Machine captures. In a 2023 interview, Laidlaw stated he regretted publishing Epistle 3, something he felt caused problems for his former colleagues at Valve.
