Welcome to Old Spanish Days Fiesta 2023! On behalf of the Board of Directors of Old Spanish Days in Santa Barbara, I wish you a warm welcome to Fiesta 2023. We are excited about this year’s historic community festival as we once again celebrate our traditions, culture and rich history.
Celebrating its 100th year, Old Spanish Days in Santa Barbara is a beloved Santa Barbara tradition dedicated to honoring and preserving the city’s history, spirit, culture, heritage and traditions. The annual five-day festival, called “Fiesta” by locals, takes place at the beginning of each August.
Santa Barbara’s rich heritage comes alive during the first week in August with the music, dance, and pageantry of Old Spanish Days Fiesta, the granddaddy of city celebrations, reaching back to 1925.
Santa Barbara's Old Spanish Days Fiesta is an annual community-wide 5-day festival that begins on the Wednesday before the first Friday in August. The first local Fiesta celebration was held in 1924.

El Desfile de Histórico (The Historical Parade) which has been part of the annual celebration since its founding in 1924.
