On a beautiful fall day, we drove out to Sunset Hills to visit Laumeier Sculpture Park, which is FREE and one of the cultural gems of the St. Louis area. An illustrated map provided way-finding to the various works by nationally and internationally renowned sculptors.
Laumeier Sculpture Park is a 105-acre open-air museum and sculpture park located in Sunset Hills, Missouri, near St. Louis and is maintained in partnership with St. Louis County Parks and Recreation Department.

The park is an oasis of free interactive art, fountains and gardens spanning two blocks in downtown St. Louis. Paved, winding paths lead visitors past 24 sculptures resting on wide lawns, six rain gardens, a children's spray plaza and a 180-foot-long pool with a six-foot waterfall.
Open from 7 a.m. until 30 minutes past sunset. The Park is free and open to the public year-round, with the exception of special events. The entire Park is closed to the general public the Thursday–Sunday of Art Fair weekend in May and the Saturday of Laumeier After Dark.

Turtle Park (also Turtle Playground) is a sculpture park located at the southern edge of Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Tamm Avenue. The park contains seven concrete turtles and one snake.
