Dorrel Norman Elvert " Whitey " Herzog ( / ˈhɜːrzɒɡ /; November 9, 1931 – April 15, 2024) was an American professional baseball outfielder and manager, most notable for his Major League Baseball (MLB) managerial career. Herzog made his MLB debut as a player in 1956 with the Washington Senators.
