The Playboy opened in 1981 and operated under that name until 1984. It was subsequently renamed the Atlantis, Trump Regency, and Trump’s World Fair. The establishment eventually closed altogether and was demolished in 1999. A short life for a Boardwalk hotel, even for Atlantic City! The entire parcel of land sits vacant.
