Yahoo email keeps prompting for its password in Outlook. I cannot connect to my yahoo email server through Outlook 365 (16.0.13901.20366). I was working fine until yesterday afternoon, but now I get constant prompts to input my password and even when I input the password, the prompt simply repeats itself. Thanks. Answer. A. User. On the View tab, select View settings. Select Accounts, then Email accounts. Tip: If your Settings window doesn't look like this, you might be using classic Outlook. Select + Add Account. Enter the Yahoo! account you want to add and select Continue. On Sync your Yahoo account, select Continue.
If your email and password is auto-filled, log in and follow the steps from your provider to view your existing password or to reset it. Note: Your email provider may require you to use an app password which is a unique password that only works for a specific app, like new Outlook for Windows.
If you have a new password, if your email provider has asked you to change settings, or if you're having problems with sending and receiving email, you can change your email account settings through Mail in the Windows Control Panel, or from Outlook. Tip: Get tech expertise with Business Assist.
