St. Malachy’s School and St. Malachy’s Convent (1953-1973) The Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul taught at St. Malachy’s school from 1953 to 1973. Saint Malachy’s Convent served as a residence for the teaching Sisters and closed in 1973 when the Sisters withdrew from teaching in Montreal.
