     In your show function, it tries to get data.main[0].temp. The Open Weather Map API doesn't specify the main field as an array, it's just an object. So remove the [0] part because it's not an array and just an object. You also put your key in the code, so you might want to reset it. Also, you try to select the input box with the name of city but you actually are selecting the input box with the ID of city, which doesn't exist. On the input element add an attribute named id with the value being city.

     I would like to point you in the right direction and not just give you the whole shebang. If this doesn't help, please ask about what's troubling you:

     Although Fine cannot be instantiated, you can point to it, so:

     Fine* f1 = new LightFine();Fine* f2 = new SeriousFine();-

     are both legal, because LightFine is-a Fine and SeriousFine is-a Fine.

     Edit: I see this is not clear yet. If you read the above you can see that I can hold a pointer Fine*, yet have it "secretly" point to either LightFine or SeriousFine. That means, If I were to keep a bunch of Fine* pointers, some of them could be LightFine and some SeriousFine. i.e, I can do this:

     Fine** fines = new Fine*[5];f[0] = new LightFine();f[1] = new SeriousFine();...for (int i=0; i<5; i++) { std::cout << fines[i]->toString() << std::endl;}

     and the output would be:

     a light fine

     a serious fine

     ...

     if you do want to use a vector, it too should be of type vector<Fine*> and not vector<Fine>.

     I would propose

     • You could use a hash table which gives O(1) expected time
     • Regarding the maximum, you could store it in attribute and be aware at each insertion if the maximum changes. With the deletion is some more complicated because if the maximum is deleted, then you must perform a linear search, but this only would happen if the maximum is deleted. Any other element could be deleted in O(1) expected time

     You are actually calling remove more than necessary:

     for( inedge_it=in_edges.begin() ; inedge_it!=in_edges.end() ; inedge_it++ ){ (*inedge_it)->src->out_edges.remove(*inedge_it);- for( outedge_it=out_edges.begin() ; outedge_it!=out_edges.end() ; outedge_it++ ) { (*outedge_it)->tgt->in_edges.remove(*outedge_it); // This has no dependence on inedge_it

     Basically it ends up trying to remove the input edges from the targets multiple times, so it'll spend a lot of time trying to find edges that have already been removed.

     You could extract it into a separate loop:

     for( outedge_it=out_edges.begin() ; outedge_it!=out_edges.end() ; outedge_it++ ){ (*outedge_it)->tgt->in_edges.remove(*outedge_it);}-for( inedge_it=in_edges.begin() ; inedge_it!=in_edges.end() ; inedge_it++ ){ (*inedge_it)->src->out_edges.remove(*inedge_it); for( outedge_it=out_edges.begin() ; outedge_it!=out_edges.end() ; outedge_it++ ) { double cij = (*inedge_it)->partial*(*outedge_it)->partial;

     What I see here is a simple binary tree. You have pairs (blocks) with a begin and an end indices, that is, pairs (a,b) where a <= b. So the set of blocks can be easily ordered and stored in a search-binary-tree. Searching the block wich corresponds to a given number is easy (Just the tipical bynary-tree-search). So when you delete a number from the array, you need to search the block that corresponds to the number and split it in two new blocks. Note that all blocks are leaves, the internal nodes are the intervals wich the two child nodes forms. Insertion on the other hand means searching the block, and test its brothers to know if the brothers have to be collapsed. This should be done recursively up through the tree.
