This page contains information about how to set up your PlayStation 5 to be able to stream your gameplay to viewers on streaming platforms like Twitch and Youtube.

To begin setting up to stream your gameplay, you must first link your PlayStation account with Twitch. This can be done either in Settings > Users and Accounts > Link with Other Services, or by loading the game you wish to stream, pressing the Create button, and choosing the broadcast icon.

If this is your first time setting up on a PS5, you will find that the Twitch icon will read “Not Linked”. Linking your account can be done in one of two ways:

•Using a mobile device that is logged into Twitch under your account, you can scan the QR code on the next screen.

•You can also go to twitch.tv/activate on any web browser, and make sure you are already logged into your Twitch account on that browser.

Once you’ve reached the next step, enter the code displayed on your PS5 screen to confirm linking the accounts. This code changes every time you bring up the screen. You will see a confirmation on your PS5 once the account has successfully been linked.

If you need to unlink the account, or replace it with another account, you can do so by going to Settings > Users and Accounts > Link with Other Services, and choosing the Unlink option.

To begin setting up to stream your gameplay, you must first link your PlayStation account with YouTube. This can be done either in Settings > Users and Accounts > Link with Other Services, or by loading the game you wish to stream, pressing the Create button, and choosing the broadcast icon.

If this is your first time setting up on a PS5, you will find that the YouTube icon will read “Not Linked”. Linking the account will launch the PlayStation’s web browser, and you’ll need to login using your email address to Youtube under the account you wish to broadcast from.

Once you’ve given the PlayStation Network access to your YouTube account, the link will be complete, but if this is your first time linking a YouTube account, you may still need to verify your account by launching the YouTube website. This may require you to verify the account via your phone, either by voice or text message. However, once your account if verified on this screen, it may still take YouTube 24 hours to fully verify your account, and you may not be able to broadcast until then, even if it says it's been verified.

If you need to unlink the account, or replace it with another account, you can do so by going to Settings > Users and Accounts >Link with Other Services, and choosing the Unlink option.
