Control- 10.0. As in all Capcom and SNK games the control is flawless and the special moves are quite easy to pull off. The combos are also not too hard to pull off with the DC controller being very responsive. Innovation- 8.5. The game's main innovation is being the first game where two companies franchises face off.

While no new SNK vs. Capcom titles have been released since Card Fighter DS, Akuma and Geese Howard both appeared as playable guest fighters in the 3D fighting game Tekken 7: Fated Retribution; while obviously not a SNK vs. Capcom game, it did mark the first time in ten years (after Card Fighter DS' release) SNK and Capcom's characters clashes.
[Editor's Extra: For 2001, Capcom produced a DC-only update to CvS called "Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro" which included a host of minor tweaks and two new playable characters: SNK's Joe Higashi and Capcom's Dan (both as Ratio 1 fighters). Unfortunately, this is only available as an import.
Graphically, this game maintains the look that was introduced by games such as King of Fighter 98 Dream Match, KOF 99 and Marvel Vs. CAPCOM 2. That is to say, 2D sprites superimposed on breathtaking 3D backdrops. It looks really sharp for the most part and is the best work of its kind on the DC.
