  4. Beautiful Missions from the 1700s - Espada and San Jose Were Our Favorites. Apr 2022. We loved the day we spent doing the Mission Trail in San Antonio. We started at the one furthest south, Mission Espada, and then worked our way north to San Juan, San Jose, and Concepcion. The churches are beautifully preserved.
