Artist: Emily Squires Levine — Tree Trinket Bowl. Artist’s Statement: I have always been drawn to small vessels, particularly those with colorful, intricate designs: a ceramic bowl from Turkey, a mother-of-pearl box. Often used to hold treasures, the container always intrigues me more than its contents. My passion is to create colorful vessels.

While I have long been aware of these personal interests, it was my discovery and experimentation with polymer clay that led me to explore my creative capabilities. Jan 2, 2020 · Small colorful boxes and bowls have attracted artist Emily Squires Levine for as long as she can remember. One of her first memories is of a colorfully embroidered fabric oval box, a gift from an aunt who traveled to the sunny shores of the Algarve in Portugal.
