Fawlty Towers is a classic comedy series set in a hotel in Torquay, Devon, where the owner Basil Fawlty (Cleese) and his staff face farcical situations and eccentric guests. The show ran for two series of six episodes each in 1975 and 1979, and is widely regarded as the greatest ever British TV sitcom.
