Jun 14, 2023 · Yahoo Sports named former Sorare COO Ryan Spoon President. Spoon spent eight years at ESPN, most recently as SVP/Digital & Social, and he also served as COO of BetMGM.
I was most recently COO at Sorare (the leading NFT project), COO at BetMGM (one of the leaders is sports gaming and iGaming) and spent 8+ years at ESPN, where I led digital in various capacities. Before ESPN, I was a venture capitalist at Polaris Venture Partners and led Dogpatch Labs (2009-2012).

At Sorare, which has around 35 employees currently, Spoon will report to co-Founder & CEO Nicolas Julia, who is based in Paris.
