This is the transcript for the 2001 film, Shrek (The DreamWorks Pictures SKG logo plays out, with dreamy music playing underneath. At the end of the logo, the S's in "DreamWorks" and "SKG" turn green and grow out ogre ears, matching the film's logo.
Shrek and Fiona break apart and run through the crowd to their awaiting carriage, a giant onion. Fiona tosses her bouquet, which both Cinderella and Snow White fight over, so the dragon catches it instead. The Gingerbread man has one leg and walks with a candy cane.
2001 · Film. It ain't easy bein' green -- especially if you're a likable (albeit smelly) ogre named Shrek. On a mission to retrieve a gorgeous princess from the clutches of a fire-breathing dragon, Shrek teams up with an unlikely compatriot -- a wisecracking donkey.
Transcript. [The film begins with the 1997 DreamWorks logo. But after it's complete, the S's turn green. After the opening titles, a light shines on a storybook which opens on its own. A man's voice begins reading.]
Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek (Mike Myers) whose precious solitude is suddenly shattered by an invasion of annoying fairy tale characters. They were all banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow).
