Regarding camping, there really are no secluded sites and the weekend reservations are usually booked-up in advanced. If you are looking for less people, non-holiday weekdays are the best. For tent camping, there four areas to camp. My favorites are Red Oak followed by Dogwood Ridge.

Feb 16, 2015 · Tyler State Park is a great park a few minutes north of Tyler, TX and IH 20. The park itself offers a lot of opportunity to hike, from easy to challenging. Camping in the fall provides a colorful landscape as the leaves change.
