Sonic X has been on the air for fifteen years (including reruns), making it the longest running Sonic television series, and it is still on the air currently on the Video On Demand network Kabillion. Sonic X was added to Netflix on 1 December 2019. However, only seasons one and two are available.

Most of the series consists of original content featuring new as well as established characters, but the second season is mostly based on the plots of Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Battle.
