Julian Fellowes ' peerage is sourced to the London Gazette, and that is their form. Unless this RS has a typo, that one's right. As for inconsistency: the difference is the same as that between, say, the 2nd Lord Esher, who is known by his peerage, and Laurence Olivier, who is not.
