- Best of all for parents, a day trip to Hengistbury need not be that expensive. Playing on the beach and walking to viewpoints is free, while a family ticket on the road train is only £5.50.

Oct 2023 • Friends. A beautiful place to visit, such a shame the council rip off the visitors for parking £6.80 for 3 hours is not justified. The small visitors train is also expensive especially if you have a family £4 per person for about a 1 mile ride and 1 way only, nice walk back to the car though. Read more.

We walked out along the sea frontage and back along the harbourside where there is a cafe and public toilets close to the ferry jetty. We returned to the car park along the shingle beach rather than over the Head. The car park is quite large and in Winter charges are only £3.80 for all day.

Wow, what a stunning location! The views are amazing, you can see The Needles on the Isle of Wight and you are almost in touching distance of Mudeford Quay where a ferry can take

Plenty of parking , toilet facilities, “ hikers cafe” , ice cream and shop. Suitable for all, there’s even a little road train if you can’t walk far! I recommend the cafe. The walk up and over is lovely and fantastic views- really not to hard to do, and the beach with to famously expensive beach huts is lovely.
