     There is no difference. To quote the documentation:

     The only difference between the three app types (API, web, mobile) is the name and icon used for them in the Azure portal.

     Behind the scene it is already using app service all the time. If you consider WebApp and WebApp for containers is a part of Appservice, you don't actually pay for webApps, but you pay for the Appservice plan!

     Azure Mobile Apps are the next version of Azure Mobile Services. Azure Mobile Services has been deprecated, and you can't provision it on new subscriptions. Mobile Apps has a lot more features over Mobile Services. To learn more, see I use Mobile Services, how does App Service help?.

     Mobile Apps, Web Apps, and API Apps are all essentially the same thing, they just have some extra features for building particular solutions. You publish each of them to an App Service Plan, which is the actual underlying VM that hosts your service.

     Once you've provisioned one of these app types, you can publish a Web API to it, regardless of what app type it is. For instance, you can publish your API to a Web App or Mobile App. Once you've picked a particular app type, you aren't locked in, you will just see a slightly different UI in the Azure Portal.

     Mobile Apps also have a Mobile Server SDK for Node.js or .NET. The .NET server SDK is an extension of ASP.NET Web API. It doesn't yet support ASP.NET 5, mainly because there is a dependency on the OData library, which doesn't yet support ASP.NET 5. However, Mobile Apps is under active development and will support ASP.NET 5. Unfortunately, we don't have a timeline to share, mainly because not all the dependencies are complete.

     For Mobile Apps in particular, you get the features of client SDKs that support authentication, offline sync, and push notifications. The easiest way to learn about the offering is to follow the quickstart guide: Create a Windows app on App Service.

     You can learn all about the SDK and try them out, even without an Azure Account. Here's documentation about the .NET server SDK: Work with the .NET backend server SDK for Azure Mobile Apps.

     API apps have a few extra features like creating a metadata endpoint for you automatically, which you can then use to generate client library using Visual Studio.

     Currently, only Web Apps and Mobile Apps have a demo experience available at Try App Service, but you can see the API experience if you use a Microsoft Account to sign in, and then manage the app in the Azure Portal. You will see all of the API app and Mobile App options in the portal.

     In regards of other contributor's answer, I think main concept and queries has not explained accordingly, so I felt it requires more explanation in addition to clear the OP's main concern.

     Questions:

     But there is no information about the difference between development with Azure Bot and (deprecated) Web App Bot.

     The Bot Service behind Azure Bot and Web App Bot/Bot Channels Registration is the same; the change is in how the resources are created that you use in your bot such as web apps, language understanding, and more.

     Rather than the one size fits all templates that the Web App Bot used, Bot Framework Composer can be used to create resources for the Bot with much more flexibility than the Web App Bot templates allowed.

     Bot Channels Registration and Azure Bot are basically the same capabilities renamed. The UX is slightly different in the Azure Portal to help customers connect to the Bot Framework Composer.

     What exact changes should be done if we migrate form one service (Web App Bot) to another (Azure Bot)?

     Now you might be wondering, what about your existing Web app bot. Your bot and other resources will continue to work without any problem and you don't need to migrate your old web app bot in this aspect.

     One question may arise,then why its been depricated or no longer be used

     ?

     The answer would be, Functionally though Azure Bot, Web App Bot, and Bot Channels Registration all utilize the Bot Service in the same way "under the hood". The Azure Bot path is easier, and more configurable for developers in comparison of Web app bot

     Well, azure container instances bill you only for the time container is active, while webapp bill you for the time webapp exists (so all the time). that is one of the biggest differences between those.

     But overall, I'd say Azure Web App for Containers is just a shortcut to run containers on existing "stuff". I've recently learned that Azure Web App for Containers offer kubernetes capabilities, so these 2 services evolve in a slightly different directions. Azure Web App for Containers is targeted at long running stuff (always running) while ACI are aimed at scheduled\burstable\short lived workloads (similar to Azure Functions).

     Azure API Management is a way to publish and consume your Web APIs, it enables you to categorize your APIs, create segments and add pricing for each segment, it also offers many other features like caching, throttling, and format conversion. All of these features can be enabled by some manipulation of a simple XML file.

     API Apps allow you to host your APIs, monitor it and easily deploy your Web APIs to Azure.

     So, you can assume that it is an addition to Web API
