This outlook is subject to considerable downside risks.
We forecast global growth will ease from a six-year high of 3.8% this year to 3.6% in 2019 (see charts 1-4). This decline will take place in the two largest economies: the U.S. and China (comprising 40% of world GDP, as measured by purchasing power parity, or PPP).
