Banff (Scottish Gaelic: Banbh) is a town in the Banff and Buchan area of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is situated on Banff Bay and faces the town of Macduff across the estuary of the River Deveron. It is a former royal burgh, and is the county town of the historic county of Banffshire.

Banff is a small fishing port in Aberdeenshire in northeast Scotland. It stands on the west bank of the mouth of the River Deveron, with the village of Macduff on the east bank; in 2020 each had a population of about 4000.
Banff is a pretty wee town located in a region of Scotland that has few tourists compared to many parts of the country, leading to it being an ideal place to escape from Scotland’s summer crowds.
