Recently I'm facing extreme lags in KSP. I will make this clear - everything worked perfectly fine some time ago. It happened yesterday. I hit the lag barrier at JUST 30 parts (Over 30 parts I have around 5-8 fps!). 10 parts works super smooth, so it's not a GPU problem. 40/50 parts begin to stutter like 700 or more parts earlier. What is going on?
Oct 30, 2014 · Go into the Settings menu and increase the "Max Physics Delta-Time per Frame" slider. That way the framerate will no longer be bound to the physics engine. When there are too many parts in the current scene, the framerate will stay normal but time will slow down instead.

•Adjusting Graphic Settings: Altering your graphic settings can fix a lot of issues regarding FPS drop and others. You can visit the Graphics Tab under the Settings option to change the following settings:
•RAM Allocation: Kerbal Space Program 2, like its predecessor, is a heavy RAM consumer. So, close down every unnecessary program like Discord, Spotify, or other programs, and run Kerbal Space Program 2 alone. We recommend giving it at least 12GB of free RAM for a smooth performance.

Oct 24, 2013 · #2: Settings. Lag at launch is an issue. Turn down render settings to fastest, turn off terrain scatters, disable V-sync, lower texture res to half, lower terrain detail to low, etc. All this will help tremendously with performance. #3: Part Count. Keep your part count down.

Aug 15, 2019 · I'm going to guess you're running out of ram. Check your ram usage when it happens, 8GB definitely isn't enough for modded installs especially with graphics mods. The game has been lagging a lot recently whenever I tried landing on the Mun. While walking on the Mun's surface, the kerbal seemed to be walking….
