Update hype. People who already had the game but hadn't played in awhile came back for the new content. It hasn’t suddenly got popular, just a lot of people who already own it playing at the same time due to the large new update. It must be gaining some new players, though.

This new change is honestly depressing. Discuss. I don't know if this is a spoiler* but the increase in price to bombs makes me really sad. That was the main way I traversed the skull cavern. I would plan to go soon and buy a bunch of bombs and even BEFORE the increase I was bumbed that I could only do that with A LOT of money in my account.
I can't run stardew with other programs(chrome, discord call, or even excel) without experiencing significant lag. starting up the game takes a long time, I'm talking about minimum 5 minutes to about 10 minutes without mods, and about 15-20 minutes with mods. I am running stardew valley on a laptop with the following specs:
Stardew hit on both the exploration & collecting elements that I enjoy, and I think the game has really good progression so it was easy to get hooked on. Stardew & Pokemon are still my go-to games when I want to relax
