namashi_1 16 November 2014. Based on the 1993 novel of same name by Lois Lowry, 'The Giver' is a well-made film, that has dazzling visuals as well as soul. The only problem in this Social/Sci-Fi film, is its slow-pace, which needed some serious persuasion!

Studio, cast delays, and re-writes held the film up for more than a decade, but in 2014 it was released and it is spectacular!
