This is nice hike at Stonewall Jackson State Park. The trail follows Stonewall Jackson Lake while paralleling the park road for the first .3 mile. It then crosses the park road and meanders up and back along Carrion Bay. The trail gently rolls alongside the bay, crosses a small stream, and back along the north shore of the bay to the park road near the Cairns Trail Head.

Set in the majestic mountains of WV is the Stonewall Jackson Lake State Park. I traveled here at the recommendation of several photography sites as a location for great fall foliage shots. From Northern VA., the ride along route 55 and route 33 to the State Park was spectacular.
