Food, Dining, Cafeteria & Coffee Shop. The hospital cafeteria, Taylor Street Café, and Java City coffee shop are located on the first floor of the UI Hospital and carries a wide variety of food and beverages.
Visiting hours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. After Normal Visiting Hours. Safety and Security gives passes to visitors who stay after normal visiting hours. Visitors who are not completely healthy or have been exposed to a communicable disease should postpone visiting until symptoms subside. After 9 p.m., visitors should wear or carry a visitor ID. Some units have ‘quiet time hours’ in the afternoon for patients to get needed rest.
Most hospital visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily; however, other clinical settings/locations may vary. Please see visitor policies related to other care settings below.
General exceptions and restrictions for all UI Health facilities: Two visitors at a time during the visiting hours of 10 am-7 pm. Visitors must be 18 years or older. Exceptions may be granted by the patient’s unit clinical leadership for visitors under the age of 18 who are accompanied by an adult.
