Jan 13, 2020 · A well paved hike that loops from the picnic area around the Wonderboom or "Wonder-tree" all the way to the ruins of Fort Wonderboompoort at the top of the mountain. The hike was about 3km round-trip, water and sunscreen is recommended. The fort was built in the 1890's by the ZAR to defend Pretoria and the views of the city are incredible.
