And for his final trashterpiece, Weis delivered a filth-fueled, disco-drenched and gore-soaked epic of butchered hookers, hard-boiled homicide cops and a prissy psycho with an Aztec.
Brief Synopsis. Low rent semi-remake of Blood Feast (1963) - the movie that broke the barrier in showing gore on screen. In this version of the same story, instead of an Egyptian character we have a deranged Aztec high priest as the main character. A serial killer in a welder's mask stalks the streets of New Orleans during the Mardi Gras festival.
The Mardi Gras scenes were shot on Mardi Gras. Filmed in 1978 but not released in the United States until 1983 due to its graphic violence and nudity. William Metzo didn't have to audition for the role of John.
