Feb 15, 2011 · Ideally, this would be the theatrical release of Apocalypse Now (not the Redux) but both Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece and Hamburger Hill carry powerful messages about the Vietnam War, U.S. foreign policy and American life in general. Each film is on a separate DVD (which I consider a pro) rather than both together on one 2-sided DVD.

This is presented here for archival and scholarly purposes, as it documents the original version of Apocalypse Now before it was trimmed for theatrical purposes and had voiceover added after the fact.
This movie is the reason 4K physical media exists. This movie is fantastically restored. Both dolby atoms and vision, with 6 discs at the price of 36 dollars Canadian. This blew all my expectations. I am hope more film companies and directors will take notice and realize that upscaling popular classic movies is the way to go.
