John Buscema (1927–2002) was one of the most prolific artists of his generation working on virtually every Marvel character in his career most notably on titles including Avengers, Silver Surfer, Thor, Wolverine, and his favorite, Conan the Barbarian.
Buscema spent around eight years in the commercial art field associated with the Chaite and Triad Studios, doing a variety of assignments: layouts, storyboards, illustrations, paperback covers, etc. in a variety of medium.
