Dec 16, 2014 · A beautiful and nostalgic one! It was one of the biggest money makers the year it opened thanks to Julie Andrews who was the number 1 actress at the box office 3 years in a row. Very funny, the entire cast was great. If asked to split hairs possibly a bit long.
Thoroughly Modern Millie is a musical with music by Jeanine Tesori, lyrics by Dick Scanlan, and a book by Richard Morris and Scanlan. It is based on the 1967 film of the same name, which itself was based on the British musical Chrysanthemum, which opened in London in 1956.
