The Youghiogheny River provides good wilderness trout fishing. In cooperation with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, fingerling trout are stocked throughout the entire section of river within the park. An all-tackle trophy trout program exists on a nine-mile section of the river from Ramcat downstream to the PA 381 bridge in Ohiopyle.
