The Sahuaro Ranch (yes, it's misspelled that way) is an historic ranch and park which is open to the public. There are old buildings, gardens, and wide-open spaces. The ranch goes back to 1886, and there are a bunch of historic plaques around explaining that kind of stuff.
Sahuaro Ranch was one of the first farms in the Glendale area and a reminder of Glendale’s agricultural beginnings. Started by wealthy Illinois businessman William H. Bartlett in 1886, the ranch was a commercial operation and became known as the "Showplace of the Valley."
Feb 9, 2020 · The historical portion of Sahuaro Ranch Park in Glendale is fantastic and not to be missed! It’s a 17 acre ranch from 1887, with partially reconstructed buildings like the main house and horse barn, and beautiful additions like an orchard and a rose garden.
Sahuaro Ranch Park is what is left of William Bartlett’s Ranch that he and he’s brother developed in 1886. The ranch produced alfalfa, fruit and figs, had vineyards. Today, the Park has restored historical structures, where tours are offers, gardens, play areas and walking paths.
