Edward Hallett Carr CBE FBA (28 June 1892 – 3 November 1982) was a British historian, diplomat, journalist and international relations theorist, and an opponent of empiricism within historiography.
E.H. Carr (born June 28, 1892, London, England—died November 3, 1982, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire) was a British political scientist and historian specializing in modern Russian history. He joined the Foreign Office in 1916 and was assistant editor of The Times during 1941–46.
